"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" illuminates the secrets and mysteries of this spellbinding romantic epic that has entranced millions.

FACT
In order to keep the budget on both parts of Breaking Dawn reasonable, even though it is substantially greater than the previous installments in the series, much of the film was shot in Louisiana. Shooting in Louisiana provided larger tax credits, which a small studio like Summit Entertainment would find favorable. Summit announced in a press release on July 9, 2010, that filming was to take place in Baton Rouge and Vancouver. Both parts will be shot back-to-back as one project. The film will attempt to keep its PG-13 rating, and it will not feature any of the gruesome scenes from the novel with Kristen Stewart confirming that the birth scene wasn't as grotesque as described in the book and that she didn't "puke up blood", though director Bill Condon said that they shot everything as "powerful and potent as they could".
Filming officially began on November 1, 2010 in Brazil, with locations in Rio de Janeiro and Paraty.[ The first scenes were shot in the Lapa District in Rio de Janeiro for one night. A long city block was rented for shooting, and Summit Entertainment paid residents $50 to $500 reais ($30 to $300 in American dollars) to not allow paparazzi or fans to overlook filming from their windows. Moreover, owners of bars and restaurants were paid $10,000 and $20,000 reais ($6,000 to $12,000 in American dollars) to stay closed for the evening to eliminate noise and provide a clear street.

Shooting then moved to Paraty where the honeymoon scenes were shot. According to Paraty's Tourism Office, filming took place in the Taquari area, near an unidentified waterfall and in Saco do Mamanguá beach where a mansion is located. In late November, shooting moved to Baton Rouge, Louisania and, reportedly, a few scenes were shot in Aresnal Park using green screens. It took about four to five weeks to shoot the ending sequence of Part 2 which would consume about twenty-seven minutes of the film. The sequence was shot using a green screen and fake snow with 75 actors on set.

In late February and early March, shooting began in Vancouver, Canada. However, the cast and crew were evacuated from the set due to the tsunami advisories resulting from the 9.0-magnitude earthquake that hit Japan on March 11, 2011. Toni Atterbury, a spokeswoman for the film, said that "the crew was moved to higher ground" as a safety precaution and "the shoot was delayed for a few hours, but the day’s work was accomplished".

Therefore, filming relocated in Squamish, British Columbia, but a few scenes were shot in the Orpheum theater in Vancouver with the Vancouver police covering all the entrances of the theater. Summit Entertainment announced the designer of Kristen Stewart‘s character Bella’s wedding dress to be Carolina Herrera. The wedding scene in Part 1 was also shot under tight security. Off-duty police officers surrounded the set, and sheets and umbrellas were used to protect the set in order to avoid aerial shots being taken.

Filming wrapped on April 15, 2011, ending the franchise's three years of production since March 2008. However, on April 22, what is believed to be additional scenes that will fit into the honeymoon sequence were filmed on St. Thomas Island in the Caribbean.

Plot Summary: A gritty, white-knuckle, action ride set in the near-future, where the sport of boxing has gone hi-tech, "Real Steel" stars Hugh Jackman as Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring. Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.
Steven Spielberg's Dreamworks has hired Director Shawn Levy (who brought us Night at the Museum) to helm Real Steel, an upcoming science-fiction movie. The story revolves around a father and his estranged 11-year-old son who enter the world of robotic boxing. Actor Hugh Jackman got the lead role as the father. Besides Hugh Jackman, the movie Real Steel is also starring Dakota Goyo, Kevin Durand, Anthony Mackie, Evangeline Lilly, Hope Davis, James Rebhorn, and Olga Fonda. The release date of Real Steel is set for November 18, 2011.

Plot:
"Hugh Jackman is to play an ex-fighter who becomes a promoter when human boxing is outlawed for being too violent. The new gladiators are 2,000-pound robots with human qualities. The ex-fighter's access to sub-standard robot parts hampers his hopes for glory in Robot Boxing, until he discovers a discarded robot that always seems to win. The ex-fighter has also discovered he's the father of a 13-year old son, and they bond as the robot brawls its way toward the top."

The premise of the movie Real Steel is actually based on a short story by Richard Matheson that was adapted into an original 'Twilight Zone' episode that starred Lee Marvin. Here's a picture of the original robot:

Well, the robots in the movie Reel Steel won't look as humanoid as the Twilight Zone robot!

Regarding the robots in the movie Real Steel: both real robots and CGI will be used. For example in the first official picture above, Hugh Jackman is actually talking to a real robot! But motion capture and CGI will be used for the fighting scenes. Director Shawn Levy says this choice was influenced by Steven Spielberg and that's it's for the best:

"There are some things only visual effects can pull off. But when you give an actor a real thing, in this case a real 8-foot-tall machine, to interact with and do dialogue opposite, you get a more grounded reality to the performance."
Director Shawn levy
I used my photoshop skills to get a glimpse of the whole robot:

Impressive indeed! I'm so hooked by the concept of this film: sign me up for the movie Real Steel!

 - Conan The Barbarian

The most legendary Barbarian of all time is back this Summer. Having thrived and evolved for eight consecutive decades in the public imagination - in prose and graphics, on the big screen and small, in games and properties of all kinds- Conan's exploits in the Hyborian Age now come alive like never before in a colossal 3D action-adventure film.

A quest that begins as a personal vendetta for the fierce Cimmerian warrior soon turns into an epic battle against hulking rivals, horrific monsters, and impossible odds, as Conan realizes he is the only hope of saving the great nations of Hyboria from an encroaching reign of supernatural evil.

Deftly adapted from the original works of Robert E. Howard and faithful to the mythology and psychology of his iconic character, "Conan the Barbarian" stars Jason Momoa, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Rose McGowan, Said Taghmaoui and Ron Perlman. The film is directed by Marcus Nispel, and written by Thomas Dean Donnelly & Joshua Oppenheimer and Sean Hood.

I live, I love, I slay – I am content!” states the barbarous Conan halfway through Marcus Nispel’s sword-and-sorcery actioner.

Those familiar with the 1982 version are unlikely to feel likewise after this tiresome reboot, a dull and desultory affair that’ll leave you feeling as cheated as Arnold Schwarzenegger’s missus.

Having previously devalued the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Friday The 13th series, Nispel hardly has the best rep when it comes to resuscitating moribund franchises.

Quelle surprise, then, that he makes a hash of this one, the German director missing not only the camp grandeur of John Milius’ original but also the vigour of 300, a film he clearly set out to emulate.

There’s no shortage of blood here, the levels of arterial splatter being established early by a forest scrap that ends with the young Conan (Leo Howard) dropping four severed heads at the feet of proud pop Ron Perlman.

Long before the lad has grown up to be Baywatch beefcake Jason Momoa, though, the carnage has become monotonously predictable.

There’s only so many ways to run a man through while charging at him on horseback.

Things liven up a little with the introduction of bad guy Khalar Zym (Avatar’s Stephen Lang) and his daughter Marique (Rose McGowan), a witch with Krueger-like blades on her pinkies and Elizabeth I’s hairline.

Even by genre standards, alas, their crazy quest – to bring Mrs Zym back from Hades with the aid of an old mask and ‘Pureblood’ Rachel Nichols – is a torturous one that, coupled with Conan’s plan to avenge Perlman’s murder, makes for a plot more swollen than its leading man’s pectorals.

Momoa is no Arnie. He’s no Rock either. In fact he’s nothing much at all: an anonymous, characterless hunk who’s outclassed even by the computer-generated sand mummies he’s called upon to vanquish.

Conan, we’re informed, has “the heart of a lion” and “the loyalty of a bloodhound”. They forgot “personality of a tree”.
Verdict:
If swords, sorcery, pecs and FX get your bloodlust pumping, there’s fleeting fun to be had. But mostly this Conan puts the bore in Hyboria.

Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.

Here we have two great pieces of promotional art from the Avengers.  I think it's something about Captain America's pose, but that image really strikes me.  Now, I know there's been alot of imagery leaked from the film over the past few weeks, and I've been pretty quiet in terms of posting set photos.  To be honest though, I want to keep this site moving as spoiler free from now on.  Over the past few years, I've posted about casting and possible plot points, but that's all speculation.  All the crappy cell phone pics that keep getting leaked only ruin the excitement that we'll ultimately experience when the movie comes out in LESS THAN A YEAR.  We've already gotten a teaser, albeit a very short one, but we'll get a trailer soon enough.  I'll link to "spoiler" material and if you want to read it, that's up to you.  Just know that I want to keep the site as spoiler free from now on.
